Casey Paul, BA., MA.
My areas of focus, for the past 5 years, have been working with children and trauma. My belief is that relational bonds with intimate partners, family and family of choice are very important for our wellbeing and support networks. I encourage reconciliation, empathy and exploration into the family dynamics that have shaped family relationships. These dynamics have the potential to create our deepest hurts in life but also can provide the greatest opportunity for hope, meaning and belonging.
I work from a holistic perspective that connects the mind, body, and soul. I also believe in working from a practical perspective – the goals that are most relevant to you and your unique circumstance. So the therapy offered is for issues such as: PTSD/Trauma, Anxiety/Stress/Burnout, Family Issues, Parenting, Issues in the Workplace/Returning to Work, Relational Issues, Addiction, Reconciliation, Forgiveness, and Depression.
Being passionate about working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences, I welcome clients from all walks of life, including minorities, LGBTTQ, faith groups. I work hard to cultivate a safe environment for all identities and relationships.
My graduate degree is a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. This followed my BA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Winnipeg. I received my internship through TLC, under the supervision of Founder and Lead Psychotherapist, Mary-Ann Roy. I am currently a certified counselor with the Association of Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association.
